OPINION:
President Biden’s southern-border visit is an abject joke and a waste of both taxpayer money and time (“Biden visits border, sees more money as solution to chaos,” Web, Jan. 8). There was no need for him to have traveled to the region, nor is there any reason for him to hold daily security briefings on the subject. The scourge can be witnessed daily on TV.
This visit is merely a corrupt photo shoot to be shown by Mr. Biden’s mainstream-media propagandists so they can assert that the border situation is not as bad as conservative media has proclaimed. Yet more than 5 million known (and hundreds of thousands of unknown) illegals, as well as malicious gang members, have entered the U.S. during Mr. Biden’s presidency.
El Paso, Texas, and other border areas has been cleaned, with trash collected and illegals removed from the streets for Mr. Biden’s visit. And yes, city residents remain in a collective state of fear from property destruction and other crimes that have been a direct consequence of the Biden-led immigrant invasion.
A primary element of a socialist or communist government, along with its propagandist media arm, is its regular showcasing of the people’s supposed contentment. No, nothing is wrong; everyone lives a good life under the state’s all-mighty control. This occurs regularly in China, North Korea and Russia.
The point of Mr. Biden’s visit is merely to show that everything on the border is OK and that all living there are safe and happy, which
of course is the furthest thing from the truth. The trip is emblematic of the general decay going on throughout the U.S. as we continue to travel down the road to a Marxist state. To compound the travesty, most Americans haven’t a clue that it is happening.
