For months now, Democrats have been hounding Donald Trump — president-turned-private-citizen-turned-2024-presidential-contender — about classified documents found in boxes at his home in Mar-a-Lago.

Hounding to the extend of unleashing the power of the federal authorities into his house — into his wife’s clothing closets even. Hounding to the extent of demanding his attorneys be held in contempt. Hounding to the extent of demanding Trump himself sign documents to certify he’s turned over all requested records — in hopes of catching him in some sort of loophole that could then be exploited for additional hounding.

Iceberg, meet tip.

That’s just a fraction of the hellhound-ing Democrats sicced Trump’s way.

But now that President Biden’s been caught in the same classified document trap?

Eh. Dems are like, “Classified? Schmassified. What’s all the fuss?”

More hypocrisy.

More deceits and double-dealings.

More morally righteous indignation at being caught and called for their hypocrisies and double-dealings.

As Fox News wrote, “House Speaker Kevin McCarthy says Democrats ‘overplayed their hand’ in the handling of the classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago in light of new revelations of classified documents discovered at the Penn Biden Center, which were taken by now-President Joe Biden after his time as Vice President nearly six years ago.”

Biden said he was surprised to learn of the box of docs in “that office” — meaning, his office; his professor office; his Penn University professor office.

Even more surprising was the box of classified documents was actually discovered in “that office” in November — before the election — but America is only learning about it now. And even more surprising is that the classified documents discovered in “that office” of then-professor Joe’s were of the nature of intelligence on Ukraine and Iran and the United Kingdom. Ukraine.

Ukraine — the place where Hunter Biden was oh-so-generously compensated for his service on the board of natural gas company Burisma.

Classified, schmassified.

“I take classified documents, or classified information seriously,” Biden proclaimed — righteously indignantly, no less — during a recent news conference in which he was asked about the matter.

Of course he does.

Except when, of course, he doesn’t.

And that is to say: Biden, like all Democrats, take classified documents and information “seriously” when it benefits politically — such as when it lends to attacking Trump, conservatives and MAGA-types.

If Team Biden truly did take state secrets “seriously” then why the wait to acknowledge the stash until after the election?

The White House’s Ian Sams, when asked that very thing, suddenly found a cause for caution in the handling and release of sensitive information.

“This is an ongoing process under review by DOJ, so we are going to be limited in what we can say at this time,” he said, referring to the Department of Justice.

If only Team Biden would handle the nation’s classified and secret documents with such concern.

Classified, schmassified.

Now if a dozen or so of the feds’ crackerjack FBI and DOJ agents would swarm Biden’s private residence in Delaware, while he’s away on vacation or otherwise unavailable, and rifle through his personal belongings and his wife’s clothing closets and his family’s private rooms and possessions as a means of ensuring all the classified documents are returned for National Archives’ categorizing — well, then, maybe Democrats would shed some of their hypocrisy. ‘Cause that’s what they did to Trump

And the American people should never forget it.
