Those looking for a piece of history can buy sand from the beach where Tom Brady announced his NFL retirement — for a nearly six-figure sum.

An eight-ounce Mason jar of the sand is going for $99,900, according to the eBay listing titled “Tom Brady’s exact retirement spot — Bottled Sand.”

Bidding for the sand will end in seven days. So far, it’s received 119 bids.

“You will find no other listing like this, no one else took a sample on Feb 1st after the [Greatest of All Time] posted his real retirement,” the seller, a user named gadgetgs, said in the item description. “You will be owning the very land the GOAT retired on.”

The seller posted multiple photos to verify the authenticity of the sand, including a picture of a New York Times newspaper dated Feb. 1 in the foreground and the apartment buildings seen in Brady’s video in the background.

The seller also said they would provide video proof of them collecting the sand upon request “as Ebay does not allow video posts.”

Seller gadgetgs has sold 489 items on eBay and has a 100% positive feedback rating. The other items they list for sale are hand soaps.

Brady retired from the NFL on Wednesday, about a year after he first announced his retirement. He reversed course weeks later and decided to compete in the 2022 season.

Brady’s seven Super Bowl wins are the most by any player. He also owns NFL records for regular season wins, postseason wins, passing touchdowns and passing yards in his 22-year career.
