OPINION:
American aid to Ukraine continues, apparently on a never-ending, escalating basis. The Biden administration is in the process of delivering 31 advanced M1 Abrams tanks to that war effort. But more egregiously, the U.S. military commands continue their dangerous depletion of conventional weapons to supply such armaments to Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s forces.
The Russians consider this American “direct involvement” in the war. But President Biden and his war hawks are either negligent, somehow complicit or just too stupid to understand one material fact: Vladimir Putin will never accept defeat to the Ukrainians. And on their own, Mr. Zelenskyy’s forces are pitifully powerless to win the conflict.
There is but one course of action to deal with this dilemma: a negotiated United Nations settlement to end the ground war. After all, the purpose of the United Nations is to prevent or mitigate a conventional kinetic or nuclear war. Thus far, the so-called U.N. diplomats have
miserably refused to intervene in this dispute, which is about to spiral to the point of a no-return global conflagration.
In the meantime, the current U.S. administration — lead by a senile octogenarian who just put the U.S. at risk of general war with Russia with his moronic “secret” visit to Ukraine — is in the process of unilaterally escalating the Ukraine conflict into a war between the U.S. and Russia.
Congress must now rise to the occasion by stopping Mr. Biden and his confederates from shipping more armaments
to Ukraine.
