OPINION:
I am not surprised to see a Chinese spy balloon over the skies of our country for five days. The Chinese Communist Party has strategically maneuvered in recent years to become a global superpower at the expense of America and our allies.
From 1999 to 2004, China waged an unrestricted war on U.S. manufacturing that erased at least 3.7 million American jobs from the economy. China has created a $400 billion annual trade surplus by abusing cheap labor and using deceptive business practices. The country even holds over $1 trillion of America’s debt while stealing over $500 billion of our intellectual property each year.
Overseas, China created the Belt and Road initiative to dominate the south Asian region. The communist country even built seven illegal military bases in the South China Sea. But possibly the most shocking act is attacking India in 1962 and grabbing 15,000 square miles of Indian land while proclaiming “Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai” (“Indians and Chinese are brothers”). It’s also shocking that China killed 1.2 million Tibetans and destroyed over 6,000 Buddhist temples since its occupation of Tibet in 1959. The overtly polite Chinese Communist Party and its military arm, the People’s Liberation Army, are covertly ruthless.
For context, I am an electronics engineer, inventor, founder and chairman of a mini-conglomerate based in Chicago who emigrated from India to the United States in 1969. While creating many new technologies and new industries, I also have keenly watched the Chinese manipulation of America after Deng Xiaoping embarked on a new type of market socialism after observing the success of 18 of its farmers in quadrupling farm output when they were given the freedom to keep their own produce.
China is a master of manipulation and the best at buying American politicians from both parties. The CCP has also mastered the art of controlling corporate America, which is concerned only with quarterly profits and stock values. In my upcoming book, “Chinese Colonization of America 2049 and the Only Man Who Can Stop It,” I lay out the case for why I am convinced that Donald Trump is the only man who can stop America from becoming a Chinese colony.
For those of you who are not familiar with colonization, study how Britain came to India as traders in 1608 and became its ruler in 1765. If you want to know what colonizers do, move forward to April 1919, when the British army opened fire on 15,000 peaceful protesters assembled at the Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, my hometown, and killing at least 1,500 Indians, including a 6-week-old baby.
America does not have much time to correct course and move beyond its current leaders, who are suffering from “Big Shiny Object” syndrome — distracted by ambiguous objects, failing to see the bigger picture and what’s directly in front of them. As an American manufacturer and industrialist, I have experienced the CCP’s strategic ruthlessness firsthand.
For over 25 years, I have warned my industry and my fellow Americans of what is happening in real time. I have written extensively about how the CCP has executed a long-term and masterful plan to destroy America, industry by industry. The U.S. has lost trillions of dollars to an unrelenting communist foe. My industry of automation controls and printed circuit board assemblies saw what was once a $50 billion annual U.S. industry reduced to $100 million a year in a hostile takeover in just five years. China now controls more than 90% of this industry.
In this context, I would like to comment on the CHIPS Act. It will do no better than the SEMATECH endeavor of the 1980s and ’90s. I am in the chips business and can tell you that this whole initiative is a farce. The GOP should have followed the advice of then-Rep. Kevin Brady in structuring the bill to incentivize U.S. entrepreneurs by giving them R&D tax credits and same-year depreciation — and not give subsidies to corporate America, which is already enslaved to China.
The CCP is a calculated and disciplined cadre intent on advancing its 2049 interests while testing American resolve. This is a battle that America can’t afford to lose and a battle that America can’t win unless it abandons its Neville Chamberlain-style policy of appeasing the CCP.
This complicity toward the Chinese government runs deep through the Beltway. For years, Chinese operatives have infiltrated and courted the American political and business elite. In return, our elected officials turn a blind eye and, in many cases, do the bidding of the Chinese.
We must wake up to the CCP’s existential threat of colonizing this great nation.
