North Korean defector Yeonmi Park took to national airwaves on Fox News to warn that what she saw in her home country — specifically, what she saw that led her to flee to America — is now happening here, in the supposed hallowed halls and rooms of Ivy League schooling.

Calling Vladimir Lenin. He’s the one who famously said, “Give me just one generation of youth, and I’ll transform the whole world.”

Train the next generation of Americans to believe in the power of government, and they’ll quickly forget the founding roots of this nation’s exceptionalism are based on individualism and God.

“The things that I was learning at Columbia University really shocked me because it was the exact same thing that my North Korean teachers were brainwashing me in the classroom,” Park’s said on Fox. “At Columbian University, they were literally saying that all the problems that we have is because of capitalism, because of White men, and [that] the solution for all these problems is a communist revolution in the name of equity.”

There was a time in America where such talk was regarded as dangerous.

There was even a time in America where such talk was regarded as so dangerous as to necessitate hearings on Capitol Hill. The McCarthy hearings, as they were dubbed, due to the fact they were initiated by Sen. Joseph McCarthy, took place in the 1950s as a means of dealing with the communist forces that were infiltrating America’s press, America’s military, America’s culture. Nowadays, such hearings would be condemned by the left as racist.

Nowadays, such hearings are needed more than ever.

Wasn’t it just a month ago that the House passed a resolution to denounce communism’s younger, softer sister, socialism, without the support of dozens and dozens of Democrats? On one hand, good job, Republicans, passing a much-needed resolution to show a congressional contempt for the very anti-American form of economy and government, socialism. On the other hand — how come so many Democrats failed to condemn socialism?

The answer, pure and simple, is that too many in the Democratic Party have become socialists. They’re hiding their Marxist designs behind a label called DNC, and they’re dressing their so-called democracy in blue donkey decorations. But they’re really communists, waiting for their chance to cripple the Constitution, waiting for their opportunity to seize the American flag and shred it to pieces, waiting for their era to snatch away God-given liberties and replace them with tyrannical boot-stomping collectivism.

Capturing the hearts and minds of the youth is part of these Democrat communist plans.

“They were saying that we need to destroy this country and we need to rebuild the country in the name of equality of outcomes, and that same ideology drove my home country into what it is,” Park said.

Park was lucky.

Park was blessed,

She made it out of dictatorial North Korea in 2007 at the age of 13.

But where will Americans go when the youth of America take over the economic systems, the education systems, the government systems and replace freedom with collectivism — liberty with tyranny — God-given rights with government-granted privileges?

There will be nowhere left to live free.

Heeding Park’s warning is imperative if the future of America includes individual freedom for longer than the next college graduation.
