Atlanta, Georgia — When contemplating the upbringing of our children, the foremost concern that occupies our thoughts are about relaying God’s existence and the comprehension of His significance in their lives. It is our heartfelt desire that they develop a personal relationship with God, recognizing that their actions and choices are guided by His principles and moral values. This spiritual foundation encompasses fostering a sense of purpose, meaning, and direction, enabling them to navigate life’s complexities with courage, compassion, and integrity.

We strive for our children to be ambassadors of faith, equipped to spread God’s love, compassion, and grace among their peers and the larger community. We love taking intentional moments to encourage them to emulate the teachings of wisdom and godliness. We hope to embolden them to serve as beacons of light, inspiring others through their words, actions, and deeds.

It is also crucial to impart upon our children the importance of utilizing their time, talents, and resources for the greater glory of God. This means helping them discover and develop their unique abilities and talents, while instilling an understanding that these gifts are to be employed for noble and virtuous purposes. By encouraging them to utilize their time wisely, pursuing endeavors that contribute positively to society, and utilizing their talents to uplift others, they will exemplify the principles of faith in a practical and meaningful manner.

Modern families can effectively maintain strength and connectivity with their desired values by embracing an unapologetic commitment to obeying God’s wisdom. These five areas of focus help our family stay strong and unified: prioritizing spiritual growth, establishing non-negotiables in practicing our faith and core values, cultivating devotional habits of prayer and meditation, leading by example as parents, and managing minutiae through paying attention to daily details that shape family life, such as routines, activities, and personal relationships.
