The Lincoln Project released an ad over the weekend attacking former President Donald Trump, saying he “smells bad.”

In an X post Sunday, the anti-Trump group posted, “Is that you Donald?” with the hashtag #TrumpSmells. The post featured a roughly 40-second video titled, “Limburger,” that shows pictures of garbage, feces, old cheese, and soiled diapers, while voices in the video are sniffing and coughing.

During one shot of the Trump Tower, a voice says, “Claiming the former president smells bad.”

Comedian Kathy Griffin is then heard saying, “The Donald has a distinct smell. It’s like body odor with a scented makeup product.”

Another voice is heard saying, “Ew, Donald. Is that you?”

Conversations about the former president’s body odor started earlier this month when former Rep. Adam Kinzinger posted about Mr. Trump’s scent on X.

“I’m genuinely surprised how people close to Trump haven’t talked about the odor,” the Illinois Republican posted on Dec. 16. “It’s truly something to behold. Wear a mask if you can.”

Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung railed against Mr. Kinzinger in response to the post.

“Adam Kinzinger farted on live TV and is an unemployed fraud,” he told Newsweek. “He has disgraced his country and disrespects everyone around him because he is a sad individual who is mad about how his miserable life has turned out.”
