Fully 65% of Americans said in a recent Pew Research Center survey they always or often feel exhausted when thinking about politics. The reason?

Look around. Everywhere are angry faces, angry discussions, angry accusations — and violence.

A good national new year’s resolution would be to make 2024 the year of engaging in political discourse without throwing Molotov cocktails or hurling bricks. And Sam Daley-Harris, author of “Reclaiming Our Democracy: Every Citizen’s Guide To Transformational Advocacy,” says peace in politics is possible.
