Rep. Jared Moskowitz criticized former President Donald Trump for selling pieces of the suit he wore in his Georgia mug shot, saying pieces of Mr. Trump’s late wife Ivana’s gravestone will be next.
“I expect him to start selling Ivana Trump’s tombstone. You’ll be able to write, you know, a little signature on her tombstone for $10,000,” the Florida Democrat said on MeidasTouch Wednesday.
Mr. Trump’s former wife died in 2022 and was buried at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
He announced Tuesday that he’s selling non-fungible tokens for $99 apiece. Those who buy 47 of them will receive a physical card that has a piece of his suit he wore when surrendering in Georgia for his criminal election fraud trial.
“It was a great suit, believe me, a really good suit. It’s all cut up, and you’re gonna get a piece of it,” he said in a video on Truth Social.
The cards feature cartoon versions of the former president in different poses. One depicts him with a blue lightning bolt in front of the Capitol Building. Another shows him on a horse holding a flag that says “Never Surrender,” with an eagle flying overhead.
The purchasers also get an invitation to dinner with the former president at Mar-a-Lago.
“This is literally what we’re going to get ourselves back into if we elect him again,” Mr. Moskowitz said, calling Mr. Trump the “best QVC blender salesman we’ve ever had. And someone right now is going, ‘Honey, get the Apple Pay, I’m going to get the lapel.’”
