One-in-five of Americans between the ages of 18 and 29 years old thinks the Holocaust is a myth, Economist/YouGov reported.

In case you’re wondering why all the antisemites on college campuses and in city streets in America — there you go.

The poll simply made the statement, “the Holocaust is a myth,” and then 20 percent of respondents agreed. Interestingly, another 50 percent then answered they neither agreed nor disagreed.

For comparison: Only 8 percent between the ages of 30 and 44 agreed with the “Holocaust is a myth” statement; 2 percent of those between the ages of 45 and 64; and zero percent of those over the age of 65.

This is some shocking stuff.

This is what happens when America’s public schools become breeding grounds for far leftists — for socialists — for Marxists and communists. True education goes out the window and propaganda is inserted into lesson plans. That’s when Johnny starts coming home with warnings about driving due to climate change. That’s when Janie starts waking up at night with nightmares about gun violence and admonishes her parents about the Second Amendment. That’s when the college-educated become mouthpieces with minds of mush for the left to manipulate and control.

In the matter of the Holocaust, though, the question of to believe or not to believe is actually a danger to law-abiding society. Those who deny history or refuse to learn history are doomed to repeat history.

Voila. Look at the antisemitism raging across America.

Rep. Elise Stefanik, Republican from New York, asked Liz Magill, then-president of the University of Pennsylvania, if calling for the genocide of Jews would constitute a violation of the college’s code of conduct, and Magill answered: Umm. That depends.

“It is a context-dependent decision,” Magill answered.

Say what?

She’s resigned. But not so others in similar high positions of education and policy who either say the same, think the same, write the same or teach the same. Just look at the number of pro-Palestinian — that is to say pro-Hamas terrorist — supporters in the streets of America.

“Pro-Palestinian protesters storm Brooklyn Bridge,” ABC7 just reported, “temporarily shutting the Manhattan-bound side down.”

“Pro-Palestinian protesters occupy Capitol Hill Senate office building,” Fox News just reported.

“Pro-Palestinian protests on the rise across the U.S.,” Axios just reported.

And all that fuels the likes of this — a headline from Al Jazeera that followed a plea from the United Nations, and a vote at the Security Council, to do the same: “World condemns Israel’s war on Gaza as it marches for Palestine.”

Ignorance and violence don’t breed in bubbles.

The ignorance part can grow slowly over the course of many years, festering to the point where it explodes into violence.

More from this recent poll, reported by The Time of Israel: “23 percent of those aged 18-29 said that they agreed with the statement, ‘The Holocaust has been exaggerated.’” Also: “Asked whether they agreed with the statement ‘Jews have too much power in America,’ 16 percent of respondents said they agreed,” The Times of Israel reported.

Ignorance, jealousy, class warfare, ignorance — violence.

If America’s public schools won’d do the job, then perhaps America’s churches will. The truth — a stark warning for America — can be found in Genesis 12, when God tells Israel this: “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

Antisemites aren’t just ignorant; anti-Israel entities aren’t just dangerous to Jews. They’re perils to the future of a free America.
