Former Vice President Mike Pence was wrong about Jan. 6 — and he is still making excuses for his failure to take a stand against the corruption that subverted then-President Donald Trump’s entire tenure (“Pence turns tables on Trump as star witness in Jan. 6 case,” page 1, Aug. 3).

The treasonous sedition by the Justice Department, FBI and Congress is now in public view. The Russia collusion hoax was not an accident; it was orchestrated. When Mr. Trump questioned why then-former Vice President Joe Biden would have withheld $1 billion in foreign aid to Ukraine unless Ukraine ended an investigation into the Biden family, the deep state establishment doubled down by impeaching Trump.

There is no dispute about President Biden’s corruption, and the full depth of it is being covered up by the organizations that facilitated his malfeasance. What’s more, anyone with a sense of right and wrong knew then the attacks against Mr. Trump were unfounded and that the Bidens were guilty of illegal activity.

So Mr. Pence should not preach about upholding the Constitution. He had a constitutional duty to point out the fraud of the previous administration on Jan. 6, and he failed to do so.

While he might not pardon the outraged Americans who are sick of all this, I am sure he would pardon the Bidens and their co-conspirators.
