OPINION:
Talk about ambitious women and you can do no better than put first lady Jill Biden at the top of the list.
She must suffer from perpetual ambition, for she continues to wind up her husband and push him onstage for another walk-around, his increasing senility and ever-lessening grasp on reality be damned.
Millions of objective American thinkers, including those from President Biden’s own political party, have already noted that Mr. Biden regularly loses his place, whether in the midst of a prepared, teleprompter-aided speech, answering scripted, pre-submitted reporter questions or when exiting a podium or entering Air Force One.
Now, there is nothing wrong with an 80-year-old man slowing down or losing his grip on things mental or physical — but there is something cruel and dangerous about said old fellow being pushed beyond what he can handle. Enter the first lady. The allure of power, status and self-aggrandizement must have overtaken what was perhaps once a more agreeable and rational woman. Aided by a core of perpetual politicians and staff, Jill Biden is now urging her husband into a second four-year term that, if it happens, can only end badly for both Mr. Biden and the rest of the country.
And please, think about it: In the wings is Kamala Harris.
