Rep. Liz Cheney in an interview over the weekend said she’d do whatever it took to keep Donald Trump from winning the White House in 2024 and Kari Lake from winning Arizona’s governorship, even if it meant stumping for Democrats.

Might as well. The Republicans in her state have already turned up their noses at her.

Harriet Hageman: 66.3%

Liz Cheney: 28.9%

Those were the numbers for Wyoming’s recent Republican primary for the congressional seat currently held by Cheney, according to The Associated Press.

Any questions?

In other words, Republican voters already think Loser Liz Cheney’s a has-been in the GOP; a deplorable, if you will.

“I certainly will do whatever it takes to make sure Donald Trump isn’t anywhere close to the Oval Office,” Cheney said to Texas Tribune CEO Evan Smith just recently, CBS News wrote.

“If [Trump] is the [GOP] nominee,” she also said, “I won’t be a Republican.”

It’s a temper tantrum fit for a 2-year-old.

So’s this: “I am going to do everything I can to make sure that Kari Lake is not elected,” Cheney further said.

Even if that means stumping for Democrats?

“Yes,” Cheney said.

As for how effective Cheney would be in killing off the Trump factor and stopping the Lake support: Harriet Hageman, 113,025 votes; Liz Cheney, 49,316 votes.

It’s difficult to see her making a difference.

Either way, Democrats can have her.

Correction: A previous version of this column incorrectly identified the state in which Kari Lake is running for governor. She is running in Arizona.
