OPINION:
A handful of Republicans in the House have introduced several articles over the last few months to impeach President Biden for “high crimes” over his botched withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, his nearly nonexistent protection of America’s borders and his tyrannical clamps on freedoms tied to the government’s coronavirus response. And some other stuff, too; the list is long. The list is growing.
How much more can America truly take of this man’s leadership?
On impeachment, as Nike might say — just do it. The public will get there; the public will get on board. Biden has been carting around a basket brimming with failures, and if inflation alone doesn’t move voters from the Democrat fire and into the Republican camp, then certainly the chance to boot a president who’s an obvious puppet for the far-left and who uses the Constitution as a coffee table coaster ought to trigger, at the least, a take-notice.
His particular brand of socialist rule is killing the Constitution, as well as all that’s exceptional about America. There’s his redistribution of dollars for college kids. There’s his redistribution of dollars for climate concessions. There’s his redistribution of dollars to degrade the free market. There’s his redistribution of dollars that’s crippling the middle class.
“Biden Budget Shows Focus On Wealth Redistribution, Not Growth,” Bloomberg wrote way back in August of 2021. It’s only gotten worse.
Besides, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
Democrats spent all their energies on impeaching Donald Trump — even before he was officially seated in the White House, even before he possibly had the time to commit an impeachable offense — and for what? Fabricated offenses. Fabricated charges.
Biden, on the other hand, has some real constitutional transgressions under his belt.
The border, by itself, should suffice as an impeachable offense.
“Amid a record surge at the border, the Biden admin plans to send some migrants to cities deeper inside the U.S.,” NBC News reported in June.
He’s flooding the country with illegals. With illegals who could be carrying the coronavirus. With coronavirus-carrying illegals who may or may not have some criminal backgrounds — some criminal intents.
“CBP Encounters 100 on Terrorist Watchlist at Southwest Border, Half After Entering Illegally,” the Center for Immigration Studies wrote in one frightening headline in June about a recent U.S. Customs and Border Patrol report.
America’s borders have become so porous that the word “invasion” is being bandied. In fact, Sen. Roger Marshall just brought forth a resolution this month to label it such.
“This open border — opened by Joe Biden — has resulted in an unprecedented, unrelenting massive wave of illegal aliens entering our country,” Marshall said. “It is long past time for states to protect their interests, because Joe Biden has made it clear the federal government will not.”
And all America’s border-living citizens go: Thank God for the Second Amendment.
But where’s the accountability for this administration?
“I have consistently said President Biden should be impeached for intentionally opening our border and making Americans less safe,” said Rep. Bob Good, Virginia Republican, in The Hill.
Meanwhile, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has sponsored several other impeachment measures — three in one day. Three in just one single summery, leisurely Aug. 20, 2021, day. Why? Afghanistan. The border. And for behaving like a dictator.
“Biden, acting as a pseudo-dictator, has ignored the Supreme Court and issued his own eviction moratorium,” the Georgia Republican’s congressional website stated. “He is shredding the Constitution and usurping the balance of power by issuing an edict the Supreme Court declared was a power of Congress.”
Unlike the Democrats with their fabrications of Russia collusion, Greene’s accusations are based in reality.
“Eviction moratorium: Biden’s tyranny should alarm lawmakers,” USA Today wrote in August 2021.
“Biden’s eviction moratorium defies the rule of law,” the Chicago Sun-Times wrote in August 2021.
“Biden Eviction Moratorium Extension Unconstitutional,” the National Review wrote in August 2021.
And then this, putting the matter to rest in November 2021 — a New York Times headline: “Supreme Court Ends Biden’s Eviction Moratorium.”
Slapped down for dictatorial behavior. That’s exactly the stuff of which impeachable offenses are made of — and the only ones who disagree are tyrants themselves.
“Biden’s novel evictions defense: Maybe it’s illegal, but it’s worth it,” The Washington Post shamelessly — shamefully — wrote in August 2021.
Anyhow. Back to impeaching Biden: Let’s do it.
Generally speaking, impeachment of a president should be a last-case, twelfth-hour, danger-to-society-if-we-don’t-do-it kind of move. Democrats tried to paint Trump in that way. They did so by lying and deceiving and spinning.
Biden, on the other hand, is a real danger to America. Two more years of his leadership could leave America degraded to the point of no return.
Not that Vice President Kamala Harris would be much better — but this administration is like an onion. One layer at a time.
And right now, Biden is the top layer provable danger to America’s national security, to America’s Constitution, to America’s economy and financial stability, and to America’s long-term sovereignty and independence. He ought to be removed.
