The timeout between Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen may turn into much more.
Brady and Bündchen have both hired divorce lawyers, according to the New York Post’s Page Six, as the two mega stars continue feuding after the 45-year-old quarterback’s decision to unretire this offseason.
Sara Nathan and Emily Smith of Page Six reported Tuesday that multiple sources said that Brady and Bündchen, who got married in 2009 and share two children together, have been living separately for the past few months following an “epic fight.”
“I don’t think there will be any coming back now,” a source told Page Six. “They both have lawyers and are looking at what a split will entail, who gets what and what the finances will be.”
A source also told Page Six that the two millionaires would seek to share custody of their children — Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 9, — in a separation. Brady also has a 15-year-old son, Jack, with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
The couple reportedly has an estimated $26 million worth of property that would need to be divvied up in a divorce, including a $17 million home in Miami. Brady, 45, has a net worth of $250 million, per Forbes, while Bündchen, 42, is worth $400 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Reports of trouble in paradise between Brady and Bündchen began this summer after Brady unretired from the NFL. Brady had originally hung up his cleats on Feb. 1, only to change his mind six weeks later and announce his return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for his 23rd season at 45 years old. The Buccaneers are 2-2 this season.
Brady had said multiple times that his goal was to play until he was 45, while Bündchen has raised her concerns about the health impacts of her husband playing football.
Brady took an unusual 11-day hiatus from Buccaneers training camp in August, causing speculation about Brady and Bündchen to swirl. According to a report from Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson, Brady’s absence from the team included a vacation to the Bahamas with his family, including Bündchen.
