Shortly after the Raiders lost to the Chiefs on “Monday Night Football,” Las Vegas wide receiver Davante Adams was seen on camera pushing a credentialed man carrying equipment to the ground.

The man walked in front of Adams as the 29-year-old wideout was walking to the tunnel to get to the locker room, and Adams shoved him to the ground.

According to TMZ Sports, the cameraman who was pushed went to the hospital for his injuries and has filed a police report against Adams. The Associated Press reported Tuesday that detectives from the Kansas City Police Department’s assault unit are investigating the incident and will work with prosecutors to determine whether charges are warranted. No timetable on a decision was provided.

Adams apologized during his postgame comments and on Twitter.

“I want to apologize to the guy,” Adams told reporters after the Raiders’ 30-29 loss to the Chiefs. “There was some guy running off the field, and he ran, like jumped in front of me coming off the field and I bumped into him, kind of pushed him, and he ended up on the ground. So I wanted to say sorry to him for that because that was just frustration mixed with him literally just running in from of me. I shouldn’t have responded that way, but that’s how I initially responded. So, I want to apologize to him for that.”

“Sorry to the guy I pushed over after the game,” Adams later tweeted. “Obviously very frustrated at the way the game ended and when he ran infront of me as I exited that was my reaction and I felt horrible immediately. Thats not me..MY APOLOGIES man hope you see this.”

Adams finished the game with three receptions for 124 yards and two touchdowns.

Coach Josh McDaniels said Tuesday that he supports Adams and will cooperate in any investigation.

“I know that was an unfortunate situation,” he said. “We obviously don’t want any of our guys to be doing anything like that. He knows that. He’s very well aware of that. But I know the person. I don’t think there was any intent behind it on his his part. But whatever they ask of us, whatever they need from us, obviously we’ll comply.”

A source told the Associated Press on Tuesday that the NFL is reviewing Adams’ action with possible punishment including a fine or suspension.
