Former NFL star Terrell Owens got into a street fight at a Los Angeles pharmacy over the weekend, TMZ reported.

The incident took place Saturday night outside of a CVS in Inglewood, where the Hall of Famer was making a pit stop to grab a few items, Mr. Owens told TMZ.

After briefly chatting with a San Francisco 49ers fan, a man began heckling Mr. Owens and the fan. Witnesses told TMZ that the man then threatened to beat up the two outside the store.

Witnesses said Mr. Owens was trying to defuse the situation, but when the man reportedly took a swing at him, things quickly escalated.

The two briefly squared up before Mr. Owens landed two right jabs, causing the man to fall to the ground, according to video obtained by TMZ.

The man stood up moments later, and after exchanging some words with Mr. Owens, both went their separate ways.

Police were not called to the scene.
