Donte Greene, a former NBA player who played his high school ball in Towson, Maryland, was arrested and charged with attempted robbery in Indiana last week.

According to the South Bend Tribune, the Goshen Police Department said Greene, 34, attempted to allegedly rob a Phillips 66 gas station on Nov. 8. Police said he told the store clerk to “give him all the money” and lunged at the cashier.

Employees at a nearby Taco Bell called 911 after Greene, who wasn’t armed, prevented the clerk from calling.

Attempted robbery in Indiana carries a sentence between one to six years in prison.

Greene played in high school at Towson Catholic before going to Syracuse under legendary coach Jim Boeheim. He left college for the NBA after averaging 17.7 points and 7.2 points as a freshman.

A 6-foot-11 forward, Greene was picked 28h overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in the draft, but he was traded twice before he played in an NBA contest. He spent his first and only four seasons in the NBA with the Sacramento Kings, averaging 6.1 points per game in 253 games.
