The power is vested in Aaron Rodgers in more ways than one.

Instead of using his authority to hold the Packers hostage via his offseason indecision or to deceive people regarding his vaccination status, Rodgers recently used his vested power for a more noble cause: Love.

The four-time MVP winner on Saturday served as the wedding officiant for one of his Packers teammates. Rodgers pronounced offensive lineman David Bakhtiari and fiancee Frankie Shebby as husband and wife in Santa Barbara, California, according to video obtained by TMZ.

The wedding came three days before Rodgers is expected by some to inform the Packers whether he wants to remain in Green Bay, retire or request a trade. Green Bay coach Matt LaFleur was also reportedly in attendance at the wedding.

The decision by Rodgers is considered to be one of the biggest of the NFL’s offseason, and it could have ramifications for several teams eager to trade for the Super Bowl-winning quarterback.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Rodgers is “truly torn” about where he wants to play in 2022, while ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio is reporting that if Rodgers does request a trade, the teams he could go to include the Broncos, Titans and Steelers.
