Vice President Kamala Harris stepped to a Highland Park podium and delivered short remarks on the Independence Day parade shooting — after which the watching world reconfirmed their assessment of this White House administration as feckless, incompetent and utterly incapable.

Where is Donald Trump when you need him.

“We’ve got to take this stuff seriously, as seriously as you are because you have been forced to take this seriously,” she said. Seriously.

Seriously?

“The whole nation should understand and have a level of empathy to understand that this could happen anywhere, [to] any people in any community,” she went on. “And we should stand together and speak out about why it’s got to stop.”

Here’s a stab in the dark: Because it’s not good when people get shot and killed.

Seriously. It’s not good at all.

Neither is it good — for America, for all of America — for the top two political leaders in the country to sound like idiots on the national stage. The world is watching; the entire world leadership is listening — and that makes the national stage actually an international one.

When President Joe Biden blusters and blathers, yet pretends to be tough on foreign policy, Russia’s Vladimir Putin thinks he can get away with aggressing against Ukraine.

When Kamala Harris stutter-steps, yet pretends to be tough on illegal border crossers, all the illegal border crossers boldly cross the border.

It’s not rocket science.

It’s not difficult to see why America has lost its respect under this administration as leader of the free world.

Kamala Harris repeats same expression four times in speech loop,” The Independent wrote in March.

“Kamala Harris’ recent speech was a ‘load of nonsense,” ran one Sky News Australia heading in May, after Harris said something to the tune of this: “We will work together and continue to work together … and work together as we continue to work … to work together …”

In case you missed the context, Harris was talking about climate change.

“Kamala Can’t String a Sentence Together,” read the chyron on Sky News, in the segment on her remarks.

Seriously.

Harris is forging quite a reputation for herself, both domestically and around the world.

“Kamala Harris’ Confusing Speech about Children and Community has Left Twitter Baffled,” News 18 wrote in May.

Kamala Harris raises eyebrows with bizarre ‘passage of time’ speech,” Fox News wrote in March.

Too bad the reputation is of a rambler.

Combined with the “Weekend at Bernie’s” dead man dragging look of the president, Harris would seem to fit right in — but it’s not a look that’s beneficial for America. A strong America is necessary for a peaceful world.

If America’s president and vice president can’t even talk the talk, then how could they possibly fool anyone into believing they can walk the talk?

Weakness: it’s the image that dogs this White House. And it doesn’t get any more serious than that.
