The economic news is in and the economic news is America’s economy is shrinking — that America is technically in a recession — and President Biden’s response is to say, hey, man, come on, man, nothing to see here, go home.

With shoulder-shrugging like that, it’s no surprise Democrats are desperately seeking another candidate to run in 2024. They know Biden can’t win.

“[It] is no surprise that the economy is slowing down,” were his exact words in response to this week’s GDP report showing a classic economics’ text book example of a recession, that is, two consecutive quarters of shrinkage.

No surprise?

Tell that to an American mother trying to find formula for her baby. Tell that to an American father trying to fill his gas tank to get to work to buy food for his family. Tell that to the scores and scores of American citizens who are doing everything right — working hard, scrimping dollars, planning for the future — only to be sidelined by a government that’s doing everything wrong.

No surprise?

Americans don’t want to hear about what surprises Joe Biden versus what does not surprise Joe Biden. Americans want solutions to the economic woes they’re facing — the economic struggles they’re dealing with — the financial realities of rising inflation that has stripped an estimated $5,000 worth of buying power from their wallets and pocketbooks. Practically overnight.

Americans are suffering and Democrats in the White House, comfortable in their taxpayer-funded positions, are dithering — dithering, and redefining. Recession? What recession? It’s not really a recession, we’re told.

But this Not Recession — and remember, it’s not a recession — is not really surprising, anyway, we’re told.

“Coming off of last year’s historic economic growth — and regaining all the private sector jobs lost during the pandemic crisis — it’s not surprise that the economy is slowing down as the Federal Reserve acts to bring down inflation,” Biden said. “But even as we face historic global challenges, we are on the right path and we will come through this transition stronger and more secure.”

Thanks for that, Joe. But will we really? Because most Americans don’t think we’re on the right path, at least according to recent polling.

“Just 13 percent say US headed in right direction,” The Hill wrote in early July, based on a New York Times/Siena College poll.

“Polls find majority of Americans say country is heading in wrong direction,” CNN wrote in late June.

It’s good that Americans are awakening to the disaster called Joe Biden. But it’s frustrating that too many Americans didn’t already know that Joe Biden was a disaster before heading to the polls. After all, Biden wasn’t exactly secretive on the campaign trail about all the disastrous policies and agendas they planned to put in place — the ones we’re now dealing with — the ones that, surprise, nope, no surprise, did indeed prove disastrous.

Biden has depressed America’s economy and ushered in inflation levels that haven’t been seen in decades. Biden has killed America’s energy independence and put us on a path of begging for oil, pleading for fuel. Biden has overseen a COVID-19 response that has been ridiculously and needlessly restrictive, with mandates and non-scientific and randomly enforced clampdowns on liberty coming on the heels of data and reports showing the pandemic has long passed, is long in the past — and Biden has been a cheerleader for a far leftist force that keeps fueling virus-tied fears, in some sort of mad scientist manner of exerting perpetual controls on the American people. Biden has ignored American interests but propped up China’s; Biden has advanced globalist will at the expense of the Constitution and sovereign American citizens. Biden has degraded America’s military with woke agendas and limits on resources. Biden has sold an LGBTQ agenda through the public schools, putting America’s most vulnerable and innocent, the children, at risk of psychological and even physical damage. Biden has allowed mock Democrat monkey trials against key Donald Trump conservatives to go forth without a fight, giving leftists more fuel to pretend as if patriotic citizens are dangers to society and therefore, propelling forth another redefining of terms — patriotism.

“He has refused his assent to laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good … He has obstructed the administration of justice … He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws … He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us” — sound familiar?

That’s from the Declaration of Independence, from the list of grievances.

But Biden’s no better.

He cannot win in 2024 — and that’s the best news this nation has of keeping intact our system of God-given individual liberties.
