Michelle Obama, former first lady, just announced she’s partnering her foundation, When We All Vote, with 30 other groups to register a million new voters before the midterms.

It’s go time for the left. Her entry into election politicking guarantees this fight over the Electoral College is the Democrats’ signature campaign issue this year.

Without election reform, Democrats only have negatives to tout. They’ve been the party that’s not Donald Trump. They’ve been the party that’s not taken care of the border, or inflation, supply issues, or defiant teachers’ unions who demand schools stay closed. They’ve been the party that’s told Americans to stop doing this, stop doing that due to coronavirus restrictions. But those aren’t issues so much as reactions, armchair quarterbacking and run-from-behind agendas.

More than that, those issues are problems the Democrats largely created in the first place. They can’t blame Trump and Republicans, so they have to skirt those topics while treading the campaign trail.

But election reform?

Election reform gives leftists something to seize upon as a game-changer. They can get out the hope and change messaging; they can sound the alarm on the inherent racism of existing state election laws; they can drum up the division and ratchet up the emotion so as to swoop in, like the vultures they are, and proclaim they have the keys, they have the solution, they have the medicine for what ails.

And what ails in the Democrats’ minds is that conservatives insist on voting in conservatives.

Instead of acknowledging that truth, however, leftists bewail and bemoan instead Republican-led states that have dared to clean up the voter rolls and tighten up election laws so that fraud and the Fraudy McFraudsters in the Democratic Party — or any political party, for that matter — have harder times of committing acts of fraud at the ballot box.

That’s called law and order.

But in Democrat lingo, it’s called voter suppression, racism and Jim Crow politicking.

“This type of voter suppression is not new,” Michelle Obama said in a statement about recent tightening of election laws in Georgia, Texas and Florida, The Hill wrote. “Generations of Americans have persevered through poll taxes, literacy tests and laws designed to strip away their power — and they’ve done it by organizing, by protesting and most importantly, by overcoming the barriers in front of them in order to vote. And now, we’ve got to do the same. We’ve got to vote like the future of our democracy depends on it. And we must give Congress no choice but to act decisively to protect the right to vote and make the ballot box more accessible for everyone.”

Make way for the circus show.

New York City just gave 800,000 or so illegals and “Dreamers” the right to vote in local elections. A couple of cities in Vermont — Montpelier and Winooski — gave the same local voting rights to illegals last year. San Francisco, as well as several jurisdictions in Maryland, allow similarly.

Where will it end?

If Democrats have their way, their end will collapse the Electoral College — a Founding Father protection to smaller states to guarantee these voices weren’t blotted from the political system. Their end will also clamp states’ constitutional authorities over elections and elections’ laws.

The fed will control.

The likes of a woman like Obama, who only expressed pride in America in 2008, after her husband won the White House, will control. The likes of a woman like Obama — who, along with her husband, is bent on bringing sovereign America to its knees and undoing all the Founding Fathers provided — will control.

The anti-American, anti-Constitution, anti-individualism, anti-liberty types who see racism in everything, even the Constitution, even the founding documents, will have a stranglehold on all future elections. And that will solidify power in Washington, D.C., in the hands of a few, in the hands of the elite, at the expense of the many. It’s the final fight to the Marxist-slash-socialist finish line; it’s the final revenge for an angry left determined to punish America First voters into ultimate submission and silence.

Goodbye, democratic-republic. Goodbye, limited government. Goodbye, individual rights. Hello, socialist state. Hello, collectivism. Hello, globalism.

This is the call to arms Michelle Obama’s announcement brings.
