Not much effort was shown during the NFL’s Pro Bowl on Sunday.

The high-scoring affair is now far removed from the days of Sean Taylor delivering a punishing hit during a fake punt. But there was at least one play during the all-star game that showed considerable effort.

Brothers and Gaithersburg, Maryland, natives Stefon Diggs and Trevon Diggs faced off for the first time in their NFL careers Sunday, with the duo going all out when they switched positions — Trevon lining up at wideout and Stefon at cornerback — for one play.

Stefon, a former Maryland Terrapin and a wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills, got the best of Trevon, a defensive back for the Dallas Cowboys, during a play that resulted in an incomplete pass.

Stefon also scored a touchdown on an end-around for the AFC, running past Trevon as he scampered into the end zone. The AFC defeated the NFC, 41-35.

“He’s gonna hear about that later at the dinner table,” announcer Steve Levy said after the score.

It wasn’t all bad for Trevon, though. The second-year defensive back intercepted a pass — one of eight total turnovers in the sloppy game. Trevon led the NFL with 11 interceptions this season.
