Trinity Rodman continues to break records.

Last year, Rodman became the youngest player drafted in National Women’s Soccer League history and then went on to win the Rookie of the Year award after helping lead the Washington Spirit to a championship.

She’s now being rewarded for her efforts with a record-breaking contract. Rodman, the daughter of basketball Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman, signed a four-year, $1.1 million contract extension with the Spirit to become the highest-paid player in the NWSL. The Spirit announced the deal Wednesday. Sportico was first to report the contract value.

“We’re incredibly excited to have Trin as a part of the Spirit family for at least the next three seasons,” Spirit coach Kris Ward said in a team press release. “She has a truly special career ahead of her and makes us a better club on all fronts.”

The contract extends Rodman’s deal with the defending NWSL champions through the 2024 season with an option for 2025. The $281,000 base annual salary is more than the $250,000 that Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe make, according to Sportico.

Rodman, who in January was called up to the U.S. women’s national team for the first time, scored seven goals and assisted seven more in her rookie season for the Spirit. She assisted Kelley O’Hara’s game-winning goal against Chicago in the NWSL title game.
