The Washington Post just put out a “clarification” about a report within its own pages that referred to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas as someone “whose rulings often resemble the thinking of White conservatives.”

As opposed to — what?

This is so illuminating, in so many ways, about the oh, so inherent racist and elitist tendencies of those on the left.

The paper didn’t apologize for the blatant stereotype but rather issued a “clarification” that went like this: “A previous version of this story [about SCOTUS nominations] imprecisely referred to Justice Clarence Thomas’s opinions as often reflecting the thinking of White conservatives, rather than conservatives broadly. That reference has been removed,” Mediaite reported.

In other words: See no evil, be no evil.

But too late; the damage has been done.

The left is always criticizing Black conservatives for the crime of being both Black and conservative. In Democrats’ minds, the two don’t mix.

“I don’t really care if we’re colorblind, but I would like to get to the place that when you see somebody who is Black, you don’t have preconceived notions of what they’re capable of, who they are — by the way, what they think, which is I think a problem of the left,” Condoleezza Rice said in a 2020 interview with The New York Times.

“You look at somebody who’s Black and you think you know what they think, or you at least think you know what they ought to think,” Rice said.

Too true.

And remember, Rice’s remarks came on the heels of Joe Biden’s claim about Blacks who were mulling voting for Donald Trump “ain’t Black.”

It’s in the little slips of the tongue that true natures are often discerned.

The Post is no different than the many on the left, the many in entrenched liberal political camps who think that Blacks must vote Dem — or they “ain’t Black.”

It’s high time the Democratic Party joined the ranks of modern America and see that Blacks can be whatever they choose to be. And shhh — so can women.
