Rather than imitating the nefarious ways of the Democrats, the Republican Party should seek to eliminate early voting in its entirety, except in a limited number of rare circumstances (“Republicans must learn how to ballot harvest, get the vote out early,” Web, Nov. 28).

There have been several recent instances in which election results were altered by voters submitting their ballots before Election Day. The most notable? The non-election of Donald Trump in 2020, after which some 10% to 17% (depending on what you read) of early Democratic voters said they would have changed their vote had they been informed by the biased media of the Hunter Biden scandal. Had they done so, Mr. Trump would have been elected.

The bottom line is that the decision of the electorate is to be made on Election Day, normally in early November, not in the previous August. Early voting is a distortion of the true will of the electorate on Election Day. “Kill early voting” should be the position of the Republican Party.
