Three of four Americans — about 75% — think the nation, under Joe Biden’s presidential leadership, is headed down the wrong path.

So much for Biden’s promised “build back better.” He’s not building anything. Quite the opposite: He’s burning down the house.

This new NBC News poll, by the numbers, found 74% of Americans think the United States is on the wrong track; more than half believe America’s “best years” have passed; 55% disapprove of Biden’s leadership; and 68% believe America is indeed in a recession — despite the fact the administration doesn’t want to admit it.

Moreover, only 21% of Americans think the country is headed in the right direction.

Midterms, meet disgruntled Americans.

The only hope will come from change.

That’s how Democrats’ typical voting bases are seeing it, as well.

Latinos are losing their love for Democrats, as Ipsos polling recently showed. In 2018, “an estimated 69% of Latinos voted for the Democratic candidate” for congressional seats, versus 29% for the Republican, Pew Research Center wrote. And in 2020, Biden won about two-thirds of Latino voters.

Then in July, 2021, a headline from NPR: “Latino Voters Are Leaving the Democratic Party.

Then in June, 2022, a headline from Morning Consult: “Biden’s Approval Rating Among Young Voters Has Declined.”

Then in July, 2022, a headline from The New York Times: “Most Democrats Don’t Want Biden in 2024, New Poll Shows.”

Yes. Because he’s burning down the house called America. Inflation’s rocketing, baby formula’s tough to find, Afghanistan still lingers in the minds of Americans as horrific, the gas pump prices are the stuff of strokes, the raid on a former president’s home is the stuff of police states, and all is about to get worse, worse, worse as Biden’s big claim to legislative fame has just become the hiring of 87,000 more IRS agents, rocked and rolled and readied, no doubt, to get after those dastardly deplorables for (fabricated) filing offenses. Lois Lerner, hear her roar.

That’s bad enough.

What’s worse is Biden’s got two more years.
