Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm wasn’t exactly overcome with brotherly love for Philadelphia fans on Monday.

Bohm made three errors early in the game against the Mets, earning boos from fans. But even worse than the boos, once Bohm finally made an accurate throw to first base after fielding a ground ball, Philadelphia fans greeted him with a Bronx cheer.

He didn’t take it lightheartedly.

“I f****** hate this place,” Bohm was caught on camera saying to Phillies shortstop Didi Gregorius.

Bohm apologized after the game, a 5-4 Philadelphia victory, and said he didn’t mean the comment directed at Phillies fans following their sarcastic cheer.

“Look, emotions got the best of me. I said it. Do I mean it? No,” Bohm said. “It’s a frustrating night for me, obviously.”

“These people, these fans, they just want to win,” he added. “You heard it, we come back, they’re great. I’m just sorry to them. I don’t mean that and emotions just got the best of me.”

Phillies manager Joe Girardi, who is no stranger to ruthless fans after he spent a decade with the Yankees, dismissed Bohm’s potty mouth after the game as the frustrations of a young player.

“Put yourself in his shoes. That’s got to be a tough place,” Girardi said. “I told him I’ve been there. I’ve had three passed balls. I’ve had passed balls to lose a game. In that situation, you hate everything. Think about what he was feeling. It’s not a fun situation.”
