OPINION:
Canada opened it border crossing to our citizens last month but we have not reciprocated. Can anyone explain this? Canada has a higher COVID-19-vaccination rate than we do and is probably more “woke”than the U.S.
The first week Biden took office in January he stopped all construction on the Keystone Pipeline — without first doing the courtesy of telling the Canadian government. They had to learn about it from CNN and FOX News with the rest of us. It makes me wonder if a country is better off being an enemy of the United States.
Maybe Canada should follow the lead of France over our recent submarine deal with Australia and recall its ambassador, kick ours out and shut off all trade with the U.S. for a month — including oil, gas and clean, carbon-free hydroelectric electricity — without any notice. The entire northeastern United States would go dark, and this country would either have to beg for forgiveness from Canada or declare war and invade our norther neighbor.
Probably the latter, since if I were Canada I would not be in a very forgiving mood.
