OPINION:
America’s in no mood for autocrats.
Fresh off the Sept. 11 reminder of how terrorists — the ultimate in murderous autocracies — tried to subdue and cow America into silence and irrelevancy, comes this finding from Convention of States Action-slash Trafalgar Group: Almost 69 percent of independents and almost 84 percent of Republicans say Joe Biden does not have the presidential power to force COVID-19 vaccines into the arms of free Americans.
Only 27 percent of Democrats say that — but that’s expected. The Democratic Party is a lost cause. It turned the corner toward socialism a long time ago and has now abandoned any pretense of being pro-America, pro-liberty, pro-Constitution. The party is the place for communists and Marxists to call home.
But taking all the voters across all the political parties together — nearly 59 percent “do not believe President Biden has the constitutional authority to force private businesses to require vaccine mandates for employees.”
In other words: Stuff it, Joe. Stick it, Mr. President. Biden the “Vaccine King” can take his vaccine mandate and — well, you know the rest. And by an angry majority, so do the American people.
“[T]he American people passionately oppose Biden’s vaccine mandate, and will not tolerate a president elected by the people acting like a dictator or king,” said Mark Meckler, president of Convention of States Action.
Quite right.
What do they think America is — Australia?
But that’s the hope of the Democrats. Australia, a supposedly free society, has taken to rounding up its protesters using police and forcing total lockdowns on free assembly, free travel, freedoms in general, all out of some sort of B.S. concern about the coronavirus. Does anyone at this point in time think the coronavirus mitigation efforts from government — from any government, anywhere in the world, including America — are about health and science and safety and security any more?
Aside from 27 percent of American Democratic voters — probably not. Citizens are starting to see the politicization of the coronavirus and are starting to buck the system. They’re getting their Constitution on; they’re fighting mad and not gonna take it any more.
At least, citizens who can think for themselves are, i.e. independent and Republican voters.
“Biden Signals Fight for Economic Agenda, Acknowledges Poll Slump,” Bloomberg just wrote.
“Biden slips, again, in polls as Americans worry country heading in wrong direction,” the Boston Herald just wrote.
Even CNN acknowledges — albeit tries to dodge the source: “Americans turn pessimistic amid concerns over economy and coronavirus,” the media outlet just wrote.
More to truth, Americans sour over Biden’s leadership that has brought economic and coronavirus concerns — and let’s not forget Afghanistan.
“As his poll numbers sink, is Joe Biden in trouble?” USA Today just asked in a headline.
Short answer: yes.
And that’s about the most optimistic news to come out of his White House so far.
