OPINION:
Vaccine mandates, especially the coming ones for kids, and the accompanying vaccine passports are the central political, cultural and freedom-fighting issues of our time.
Any conservative or Republican worth his or her weight in gold will smell the tyranny and seize the opportunity to stop it.
The Republicans who take the strongest, loudest stand against these government overreaches have the best chances of winning office, keeping office, and winning and keeping favor with their constituencies.
Pollsters like to suggest otherwise. Pollsters and the spinmeisters who interpret the polls in ways to suggest that the majority of Americans are in favor of vaccine mandates, and that most citizens are on board with the idea of showing proof of vaccines as a condition of working, dining indoors, traveling, or exercising any other number of freedoms that used to be unchallenged because they were, well, accepted as natural, God-given, even.
But the polls are bogus. The takeaways are pure spin.
Here’s an example: In late September, Gallup sent out some shockwaves with this headline: “Majority in U.S. Supports Biden COVID-19 Vaccine Mandates.” Gallup went on to write, “Americans generally support vaccination mandates, including for air travel, attendance at crowded events and other activities” and 63% of U.S. adults also support “vaccination requirements for teachers and staff in K-12 schools.”
Well, no.
Not true.
The truth is actually that Democrats support these mandates. Republicans do not. And Independents are split.
By Gallup’s own numbers, between 93% and 94% of Democrats favor vaccine mandates for federal workers, for employees at private companies with 100 or more workers, for workers at hospitals that receive Medicare and Medicaid funds, and for paid time off for employees to deal with COVID-19 issues. By Gallup’s own numbers, too, only 19% of Republicans favor vaccine requirements for federal workers, 17%, for privately employed workers, 25% for hospital workers, and 33% for the paid time off deal.
So how is it that we arrive at the idea the “majority in U.S.” support the Joe Biden-type vaccine mandates — as Gallup wrote? As after which many, many, many in the media then reported?
That was September. The deceptions continue.
From Politico, on October 9, this headline: “POLITICO-Harvard poll: Most Americans support vaccine mandates for school kids.”
Again, keep reading. The truth will come. Eventually.
“Nearly three in four Democrats favor a vaccine mandate for the students while 59 percent of Republicans are opposed,” Politico wrote. “Just over half of self-described independents also are against the mandates.”
In other words, about three-quarters of Democrats want the mandates on kids; most Republicans and most independents, do not.
Once again, the headline, the summary line, the Twitter message, the shared social media takeaway becomes this: A majority of Americans want COVID-19 mandated vaccines for school kids. A majority in America support vaccine mandates for children.
No. They don’t.
A majority of Democrats do — but that’s because the majority of Democrats are the ones using the coronavirus as tools to oppress and control. It’s Joe Biden and Joe Biden’s socialist-fueled White House and Joe Biden’s globalist-infiltrated administration and Joe Biden’s band of merry Marxists masquerading as members of the Democrat Party who have taken this coronavirus and run roughshod over individual liberties for going on two years now, all the while claiming that science dictates this, oh wait a minute, now science dictates that, oh wait just another second, science now dictates this — all the while expecting the good people of America to jump, jump, don’t ask questions, just jump — it’s these types who’ve taken a virus and exploited it for personal agenda.
As for those who did ask questions?
Booted from social media. Silenced by the left’s partners in Big Tech. Mocked and shamed and targeted for attack by the left.
For Democrats, these vaccines aren’t really about medical safety. If they were, there wouldn’t be so much coverup and silencing of the science that shows dwindling vaccine efficacy over the months, or science that warns about blood clots and heart inflammations. There wouldn’t be the need to strip individuals of their freedoms of choice. There wouldn’t be the need to dress up polls and delude the findings and deceive the public about true data.
Think about it. Think about it, then put a stop to this tyranny.
Opportunity is knocking.
The midterms are coming. If Republicans are smart, they’ll boldly buck these vaccine mandates, the vaccine passports, the coming contact tracing and surveillance nightmares.
If Republicans are smart, they’ll campaign on it; they’ll base their platforms on it; they’ll form their policies on it.
These are perilous times for God-given liberties in America and the situation demands strong leaders, ones who can shout down the left, ones who can bust out the bogus polls, ones who can be the light among the deep, deep darkness.
America is one vaccine mandate away from Marxism. Put that in a poll and smoke it. Only those politicians who get that are the ones who deserve election.
