National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci told a CBS “Face the Nation” audience that Republicans are “lying” when they needlessly attack him and that he’s “saving lives” with his medical advice to stay home, stay away from others and take shot after shot after shot. After shot.
Messianic complex, meet victim complex.
This guy’s ego is as big as the Milky Way.
But the good news is this: Pride goeth before a fall. And biblical principles always show as prophetic. That means one day, soon enough, sometime soon, Fauci’s obfuscations and deceptions and sleight of hands will prove his downfall. The signs are already surfacing.
Republican Rep. Chris Stewart in early November introduced the FAUCI Act, banning American dollars from going to China for any gain-of-research funding and from clamping down on public officials who purposely mislead Congress.
Sen. Joni Ernst jumped aboard the bill and introduced a similar measure in the Senate.
“While American tax dollars were being funneled into communist China to support dangerous experiments on coronaviruses at the Wuhan lab, the head of the division funding those activities, Dr. Fauci, failed to tell the truth to Congress and to the American people,” Ernst said, in a written statement.
The FAUCI Act followed a bill introduced in April by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green, bluntly titled the “Fire Fauci Act.”
Meanwhile, back on the Senate side, Kentucky’s Rand Paul has called out Fauci repeatedly for lying and obfuscating, saying he needs to be fired, while Texas’ Ted Cruz just took it a step further and tweeted to fire then prosecute Fauci.
“In May, Dr. Fauci said, ‘The NIH has not ever and does not now, fund gain-of-function research.’ But early this month, the NIH contradicted that,” Cruz tweeted. “It’s a crime to knowingly lie to Congress, so I asked AG [Merrick] Garland if he’d appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Fauci.”
On CBS, Fauci scoffed.
From the safe harbor of Democratic-dominated media land, i.e., CBS, Fauci scoffed.
From the safe space called mainstream media, and with his blinded-by-ego and prompted and puffed by self-pride ways, Fauci, on CBS, scoffed.
“My job is to do what I can as a scientist to preserve and protect the health of the American public and indirectly, in many respects, the health of the world,” Fauci said on CBS.
“The politicization of [the vaccines] is really unfortunate because as I’ve said, I’ve stayed away from politics my entire life. I am somebody who only cares about science and health, and it is — you’re right, it’s painful and disturbing to see when you’re trying to focus all of your attention on doing what you can do … to save millions of lives,” Fauci said on CBS.
“My job has been totally focused on doing what I can with the talents and the influence I had to make scientific advances to protect the health of the American public,” Fauci said on CBS.
And on those mean ol’ Republicans trying to soil his reputation?
They’re Donald Trump sycophants, Fauci suggested. They’re anti-science morons, Fauci suggested. They’re ignorant conservatives with political hatchets to grind, Fauci suggested.
“That’s OK,” Fauci said on CBS. “I’m just going to do my job, and I’m going to be saving lives, and they’re going to be lying.”
Fauci. What a hero to the people. What a noble, magnanimous hero to humanity. Is that what we’re to believe?
The more Fauci’s attacked, the more his pride pricks, the more he rises up in self-righteous self-defense — and the blinder to truths he becomes.
The fact is Fauci has been treated like a god by his friends in the press and by politicians who seek to use the coronavirus for political gain. But his time is short. His obfuscations can’t last and linger forever.
Fauci may not believe this — he may choose not to believe this — but Bible-based truths tell: All deceivers come to accountability.
Fauci is a self-declared humanist, which is another way of saying atheist, which is another way of saying he takes his marching orders from his own mind and looks contemptuously on those who look to a Creator for final say. But only an utter egotist truly believes he holds the power of life and death in his own hands. Only the most conceited fail to acknowledge the sovereign influence of God over all matters of life, death and living, and to speak in humble terms accordingly.
The Bible has a word for such individuals, too.
“Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes?” Proverbs 26 poses.
“There is more hope for a fool than for them,” Proverbs 26 answers.
Fauci may choose to ignore such teachings and truths. But that doesn’t mean the teachings are not truths. Fauci, as well as all his fawning, fear-mongering, falsely prided and possessed-of-own-self-importance followers, would do well to pay heed.
