There’s a lot going on in the world right now.

Israel is under attack, there’s a gas shortage after Russian hackers targeted a U.S. pipeline, the border crisis continues to rage, there’s rising inflation, a disastrous job’s report, schools remain closed as teachers unions refuse to back to work, and no one still has a firm account of coronavirus’ origin.

Yet, the media only care about one thing: The ouster of Rep. Liz Cheney from GOP leadership.

CNN spent nearly three times more coverage over a 12-hour period on Ms. Cheney than the multiple economic crisis’ facing our nation, a new analysis from NewsBusters shows.

From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. yesterday, CNN spent roughly 151 minutes discussing how the Republican Party was in disarray, compared to 55 minutes on the economy, the report found. The majority of the 55 minutes discussed the ransomware attack on the Colonial Pipeline.

CNN spent four times more coverage in the same period on Ms. Cheney than they did on Israel’s rocket attack, with two shows during the day not discussing it all, NewsBusters analyzed.

“When CNN wasn’t covering Cheney…they had their fingers on the pulse with stories such as the loose Houston tiger (six minutes and 59 seconds), Jake Tapper’s new novel (four minutes and 37 seconds), and how police apparently dislike minorities having air fresheners in their cars (four minutes and 13 seconds),” the report said.

CNN is simply a propaganda machine for the Democratic Party, and this report proves it. Rather than focus on issues that matter to the American public (like gas prices and supply), the narrative has to be why the Republican Party is bad, how they refuse to accept the election results, and are a bunch of looney, domestic terrorist threats.

Not to be outdone, NBC rushed to Ms. Cheney’s quarters yesterday, scoring the first interview with her. NBC Today Show host Savannah Guthrie was on the scene – ready to echo CNN’s propaganda.

The Today Show led with Ms. Cheney this morning, not focusing on the border crisis, the inflation and jobs crisis, the Israeli crisis, or the gas crisis.

Jake Sherman, founder of Punchbowl News, tweeted of the interview: “And there it is. @Liz_Cheney has a massive, massive platform now.”

No, Mr. Sherman, Ms. Cheney doesn’t have a platform, she was removed from House leadership. The only platform she has is the one you give her. And we all know your goal is to report “Republicans bad,” “Biden good.”

Only a corrupt media machine could make a squabble among House members of the minority party a weeklong national news story and ignore the multiple crises caused by the President of the United States.

It’s no wonder why trust in the mainstream news media is at an all-time low.
