OPINION:
Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene shouted at democrat-socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and now Democrat Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi wants an ethics investigation — for what? To tell us what we already know?
The socialist is a snowflake who can’t stand countering viewpoints.
Pure, meet simple. Or is it boo, meet hoo?
Regardless: There’s no need for investigation.
Greene has been trying for some time to get Ocasio-Cortez to debate about her Green New Deal in public. And for just about the same amount of time, Ocasio-Cortez has been avoiding, err, that is, fleeing, any type of association with Greene that would lead the logical mind to undoubtedly condemn this ridiculously expensive, radically unAmerican unicorn-like package of environmental proposals.
Why flee if you believe in it, though?
Answer: It is the way of the Democrats. When accountability comes a-knockin’, hide under the couch. By all means, don’t, don’t, don’t answer the door.
And since today’s batch of Democrats are about one and the same as socialists, no wonder Ocasio-Cortez has adopted the same manner of politicking.
“She’s a chicken,” Greene told reporters, after she shouted a couple times at the silent but shrugging Ocasio-Cortez, as they both left a Pelosi-led meeting in the House and walked down the corridor.
“She doesn’t want to debate,” Greene went on.
Greene’s comments came after she catcalled after Ocasio-Cortez — after the quickly-walking-away Ocasio-Cortez, that is — and called her, gasp, names.
“Rep. Green aggressively confronts Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, causing New York congresswoman to raise security concerns,” The Washington Post reported.
NBC was quick to follow with this headline: “Pelosi denounces Marjorie Taylor Greene’s ‘verbal assault’ on AOC, says it may require ethics investigation.” The sub-headline read, “Two reporters from The Washington Post saw Greene yell at Ocasio-Cortez when they first left the House chamber Wednesday.”
What did Greene say, specifically?
According to NBC News, Greene, “who has had prior incidents of accosting and chasing people in public she disagrees with, yelled that the New York Democrat backs groups like Black Lives Matter, calling them ‘terrorists.’” And then Ocasio-Cortez’s office confirmed to NBC that The Washington Post’s account of the incident was true. And The Washington Post knew it was true because two Washington Post reporters reportedly heard the incident as it unfolded, first-hand. And then Pelosi confirmed the incident occurred as reported by The Washington Post because ’it was reported to our office what happened as members were leaving the floors … the verbal assault and abuse of our colleague, congresswoman AOC.’”
Wonderful.
No fake news here.
But thing is, Greene was trying to corner Ocasio-Cortez to get Ocasio-Cortez to agree to debate and discuss a legislative agenda that Ocasio-Cortez wants Americans to embrace.
In a tweet after the House exchange, Greene wrote, “[AOC] you chickened out bc you are too scared to debate me about your Socialist Green New Deal. You are also a hate-America terrorist sympathizer. #JihadSquad. Members of Congress do NOT support terrorism & shouldn’t be afraid to debate their legislation.”
What’s wrong with that?
Ocasio-Cortez is a socialist — and therefore, already has no business being in Congress, serving the American people, supposedly representing and upholding the Constitution.
Her Green New Deal is a piece of socialist garbage, aimed simply at stripping resources from hard-working Americans to elevate poorer nations, and at redistributing wealth within the country from those who have, those who work hard for what they have, to those who have not — to those who would prefer to stay home and stay on the taxpayer dime and cry about what they don’t have.
Like good like socialist snowflakes.
Like their good little socialist snowflake leader, Ocasio-Cortez.
If Ocasio-Cortez wants to be taken as a serious congressional member, she needs to quit avoiding the hard questions. She needs to quit crying about verbal abuse. She needs to quit turning to others to fight her own battles. If socialism truly works, she would stand and defend.
The fact Ocasio-Cortez runs like a little girl, speaks volumes about the realities of her political beliefs: they can’t stand to tough scrutiny, either.
