Jimmy Kimmel says left-wing activists are setting the stage for a 2024 comeback for former President Donald Trump if they keep demonizing Dr. Seuss, Abraham Lincoln and other cultural icons.
The ABC late-night host used recent “cancel culture” stories related to Dr. Seuss Enterprises’ and Mr. Potato Head to make his point.
Some of the famous author’s books will no longer see print due to racial concerns; and Hasbro walked back a senior vice president’s statements about making Mr. Potato Head gender-neutral.
“This is how Trump gets reelected, by the way,” Mr. Kimmel said Tuesday. “Cancel Dr. Seuss, cancel Abe Lincoln, melt down Mr. Potato Head’s private parts and throw them at the Muppets. This is his path to victory the next time around.”
Mr. Kimmel further highlighted his disdain with mock Dr. Seuss’s books inspired by cancel culture activism.
Some of the joke books included: “Horton Hears a Misogynist Joke (and Reports it to HR)”; “Horton Hears a They”; and “Yertle the Gender-Fluid Turtle and Other Stories.”
