OPINION:
Two New Jersey gym owners have offered free memberships to anyone who refuses to take the COVID-19 vaccine — their apparent response to the Krispy Kreme donut giveaway for those who show proof of the shot.
Want liberty? Learn from these guys.
They’ve been at the forefront of fighting the oft-unconstitutional, frequently unnecessary, always burdensome, more-often-than-not targeted and random crackdowns on individual liberties due to coronavirus causes.
Ian Smith of Atilis Gym in Bellmawr posted a video on Twitter in which he says, “In light of @krispykreme giving free donuts for receiving the CVD shot, here at @TheAtilisGym we are giving out free memberships to all who don’t get vaccinated. We believe in health — the really way — exercise, good diet, plenty of Vitamin D, Zinc and an environment to destress.”
Smith, along with fellow owner Frank Trumbetti, has been leading a civil disobedience charge against their governor’s executively ordered shutdowns for months. In July, the two were arrested for failing to abide by the lockdowns of their gym and instead, opening doors to operate as normal.
At one point in the battle against the government, the two even ripped off the wood planks nailed over their fitness facility doors.
Not all agree with the pair’s free membership-for-no-shot offer. But that’s freedom. That’s America.
Those who want to get the vaccine — go ahead. Those who don’t — don’t.
It’s the individual choice that matters. And that’s exactly what government entities are trying to strip, under the guise of coronavirus safety and security. If more in America don’t rise up and fight back if more in America don’t engage in civil disobedience against ridiculous bureaucratic mandates if more in America don’t join the spirit that’s compelling these two New Jersey gym owners to rebel, then America will lose its God-given freedoms and in place will stand the government granted. Individual rights will be only what government defines them to be. Individual liberties will go only to those government picks and chooses.
As Patrick Henry was credited with saying, “Give me liberty or give me death.” That’s the America we need.
