Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany has joined Fox News as a contributor.
The former Trump administration spokeswoman was greeted with open arms Tuesday morning by “Outnumbered” host Harris Faulkner.
“It is my distinct pleasure today to welcome Kayleigh Mcenany to the Fox family,” Ms. Faulkner told viewers. “We’ll be seeing much more of her in the future.”
Ms. McEnany’s arrival also came with her first interview since leaving the White House.
Topics included media bias, motherhood, former President Donald Trump, the 2020 election, the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot and the recent Conservative Political Action Conference.
“There’s a push to go back to the status quo,” she said of Mr. Trump’s critics within the Republican Party. “There’s a push to exile him, to exile his movement. … I think you see that by members on the Hill who say the president doesn’t have a place in this party. My message to them is: Let the people decide.”
“Can he do it again?” Ms. Faulkner asked regarding a 2024 campaign and victory for Mr. Trump.
“I think he can do it again,” Ms. McEnany replied. “Look, it’s up to him whether to run in 2024.”
