Milwaukee Judge Brett Blomme, who once served as president of the LGBT advocacy group Cream City Foundation, has been arrested and charged with seven counts of possessing child pornography.

Judge Blomme, 38, allegedly used a messaging app called Kik to upload videos of children being sexually abused.

The criminal complaint charges that Judge Blomme uploaded as many as 27 images and videos from a home he owns in Cottage Grove, in Dane County.

“Drag Queen Story Hour wishes to make clear: while Cream City Foundation has served as DQSH Milwaukee’s fiscal sponsor (allowing DQSH Milwaukee to receive funds as a non-profit), the relationship is strictly financial,” DQSH Executive Director Jonathan Hamilt said to Fox News in a statement Thursday.

Cream City Foundation does not direct or influence the content of our programming, and Brett Blomme has never held a position within DQSH Milwaukee nor participate directly in planning, organizing, or hosting any of our events,” Mr. Hamilt added in distancing his group from its sponsor.

Charges levied against Judge Bloome after Tuesday’s arrest require a minimum of three years behind bars for convictions, the network reported.

“As the leaders of DQSH Milwaukee & DQSH HQ, we absolutely condemn pedophilia. We are angry and outraged by Brett’s actions,” Mr. Hamilt added. “Pedophilia has no place in the LGBT community and no place in society as a whole.”

The seven charges against the suspect could result in 21 years in prison.

Judge Blomme and his husband have two adopted children, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Wednesday.

“Court records do not suggest they are part of any of the illegal images,” the paper wrote. “Child Protective Services is involved with their current placement, defense attorney Christopher Van Wagner said during the court hearing,”
