In a major psychotic break on Sunday morning, a top Biden administration official publicly blamed unnamed political opponents in the Republican Party of secretly waging war against innocent citizens in American cities by “defunding the police.”

“Republicans are very good at staying on talking points of who says ‘defund the police,’” top Biden aide Cedric Richmond claimed. “But the truth is, they defunded the police.”

It was a glaring psychiatric episode mainly because “defund the police” has been the top policy goal of Democrats for more than a year now. But the sad meltdown was all the more obvious because Democrats literally control every lever of government power from the presidency and both chambers of Congress all the way to the mayors and city councils overseeing these shocking crime waves around the country.

Literally, innocent citizens are being murdered as a result of Democrat policies, and there is not a single Republican fingerprint on any of it. Just like the miserable crises of slavery, child abuse, rape and human tragedy at the border — President Biden and Democrats in power own the entire catastrophe.

Perhaps it is little wonder that Democrats are starting to publicly crack up and come fully unhinged.

No mental meltdown has been more brazen than the false flag conspiracy theory peddled by Mr. Richmond, a former congressman from Louisiana who now serves as senior adviser to Mr. Biden.

Mr. Richmond also carries the title of “director of the office of public engagement,” which is sort of alarming considering that he actually belongs in a nut house surrounded by men in white coats.

Sadly, Mr. Richmond’s break was not merely a momentary episode. It was a long time building. The poor man had put some real scheming into it.

“Let’s talk about who defunded the police,” Mr. Richmond began in the interview on “Fox News Sunday.” “When we were in Congress last year trying to pass … an emergency relief plan for cities that were cash-strapped and laying off police and firefighters, it was Republicans who objected to it.”

Quick, somebody grab some lithium and a dart gun! This man needs to be involuntarily committed.

Mental illness is no laughing matter, but the kindest thing you can do for the guy is laugh — as you call for the paddy wagon and straitjacket.

The cruelest thing you can do is actually take Mr. Richmond’s hysterical claims seriously and evaluate them.

On the surface, it is a blatant lie to say that it is Republicans — and not Democrats — who have been pushing the “defund the police” movement for the past year. But put that aside and think about the particulars of what Mr. Richmond is now claiming.

Republicans support “defunding the police” because they did not go along with some crazy bill that was larded up with massive amounts of unrelated crackpot spending for corrupt city governments and politicians to throw away. Therefore, Mr. Richmond argues, innocent citizens living in those cities must live in crime-ridden squalor since Republicans would not give them a bunch of unrelated pork.

In other words, according to Mr. Richmond, the innocent families paying the steepest price for Democrats’ policies are just human shields for political hacks to steal and plunder all they want.

This is literally the tactic of terrorists hellbent on destroying the lives of civilized people. And their hideous plans are working!

But as the men in white coats with tranquilizer guns go after Mr. Richmond, somebody also needs to go after all the powerful villains in the Biden administration who sent the poor guy out to spew such mad ravings on national television.
