OPINION:
The NFL has developed a don’t-ask-don’t-tell policy for team owners (“Snyder to step aside for ‘several months’ in scandal,” Page 1, July 2). If you’re OK with the outcome of the secret Dan Snyder investigation, you need to consider who is paying the imposed fine from the NFL. It is you, the fan.
There is no out-of-pocket sanction for the team owner. The organization is now the guilty party and the cost will be passed on to you. Tickets, parking and concession fees just went up. It’s called economics.
At the direction of the NFL comissioner you are now contributing to support Dan Snyder’s misconduct and abuse. In the NFL’s ultimate wisdom, you just became a part of the solution — and the problem.
