Fox News commentator Geraldo Rivera got nasty and vulgar with vaccine resisters in an appearance Tuesday on one of the network’s shows.

Mr. Rivera told the co-hosts on “The Five” that people who don’t take the COVID-19 vaccination have an obligation to be tested “every week” and should be socially marginalized.

“If you are unvaccinated … you are an arrogant, selfish SOB,” Mr. Rivera said, prompting ire from Fox News Channel viewers on social media.

He said people who refuse vaccines “should be” barred from restaurants, colleges and businesses.

Co-host Greg Gutfeld demanded proof that “people are wandering around willy-nilly spreading the disease” and pointed out that many people cannot take vaccinations because of compromised immune systems.

Mr. Rivera downplayed the immunocompromised as “a tiny fraction of 1%” and said almost all the current surge of cases and deaths comes from unvaccinated people.

According to tweets collected by Raw Story, a number of Fox News viewers took grave exception to Mr. Rivera and responded to his vulgarity in similar fashion.

“That arrogant, selfish SOB, Geraldo, can kiss my healthy unvaccinated ass,” replied one Twitter use, while another asked “does that apply to Biden’s illegal immigrants who are refusing the vaxx? Or is it just legal tax payers?”
