Free agent cornerback Richard Sherman was arrested Wednesday morning on a burglary domestic violence charge, according to online King County, Washington, court records.
Sherman was booked into the King County Correctional Facility in Seattle at 6:08 a.m. and was denied bail. The record states the incident is being investigated as a felony.
Sherman is a five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro selection. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in 2011 out of Stanford and played seven seasons with the Seahawks, recording as many as eight interceptions in 2013. Sherman also won a Super Bowl with Seattle in 2014.
Sherman joined the San Francisco 49ers for the 2018 season. The 33-year-old played three seasons for the 49ers, although he featured in just five games in 2020.
