HICKORY GROVE, S.C. (AP) - The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to prosecutions of two men and a woman accused of beating and robbing an elderly couple in a Christmas Day home invasion.

The 72-year-old wife remains in critical condition, the York County sheriff’s spokesman told The Herald.

The FBI describes the suspects as a slender white woman in her 20s and two tall, thin men, one white and one Black. Both men are believed to be about 25 to 35 years old, and were wearing black, hooded sweatshirts and surgical-style face masks. The woman is described as blonde, about 5 feet, 8 inches (1.7 meters) tall and weighing about 130 pounds (59 kilograms).

All three should be considered armed and dangerous, the FBI said.

York County deputies have told news agencies that the woman knocked on the couple’s door after dark on Dec. 25, luring the 75-year-old husband into an ambush by telling him she had car trouble.

The three beat, tied up and robbed the couple, news outlets reported. A handgun, jewelry, and cash were among the stolen items, the FBI said.

The woman who was beaten is still hospitalized, Trent Faris, spokesman for the York County Sheriff’s Office, told The Herald.

“She’s clinging to life,” he said.
