Derrick Henry became one of eight players to rush for 2,000 yards in a season with another dominant performance Sunday.
The Tennessee Titans running back needed 223 yards to reach the 2,000-yard mark, and Henry ran his way into the record books. Henry received 34 carries and ran for 250 yards and two touchdowns.

Adrian Peterson was the most recent running back to rush for 2,000 yards, reaching the landmark in 2012 with the Minnesota Vikings. Chris Johnson ran for 2,006 yards for the Titans in 2009, and Jamal Lewis rushed for 2,066 yards for the Baltimore Ravens in 2003.
In the last century, four other running backs reached the 2,000-yard mark: Terrell Davis for the Denver Broncos in 1998; Barry Sanders in 1997 with the Detroit Lions; the Los Angeles Rams’ Eric Dickerson in 1984; and O.J. Simpson in 1973 with the Buffalo Bills.
Henry finished the regular season with 2,027 yards and 17 rushing scores. He broke the 2,000 mark in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 41-38 win against the Texans. He broke a 52-yard touchdown run in the second quarter of the back-and-forth contest.
