ALBURGH, Vt. (AP) - A man was found dead in a house fire in Alburgh on Thursday, Vermont State Police said.

The fire, which was reported about 3 p.m., started in the living room of the home but the cause is still being investigated, officials said.

The man’s name has not been released. Police said there’s no indication of foul play involved in his death and the fire is not considered to be suspicious. An autopsy is being done to determine the cause of death.

The fire caused more than $50,000 in damage to the home.

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call the state police barracks in St. Albans.
