The last time the Chiefs faced the Buccaneers, Kansas City wide receiver Tyreek Hill posted gaudy numbers: 269 receiving yards and three touchdowns, including a 75-yard score.

At the end of that long-range touchdown connection in November, Hill flashed his signature peace sign in Tampa Bay safety Antoine Winfield’s face as Hill crossed into the end zone. And Winfield didn’t forget.

Late in the Buccaneers’ 31-9 Super Bowl win Sunday, Winfield paid Hill back, giving the wideout a peace sign of his own. He received an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for the action, but Winfield didn’t mind.

“The taunting, man it’s something I had to do. When we played them earlier, Hill went off on us. He backflipped right in front of my face and give me the peace sign,” Winfield said, via KRIV. “So it was only right that I gave him the peace sign right back to him. At this moment, it felt amazing to be able to do that, I’m not even going to lie.”

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was held in check for much of the game because Tampa Bay dialed up heavy pressure. Mahomes finished with 270 yards and two interceptions, and Hill reeled in seven catches for 73 yards.

The Buccaneers played a prevent defense often, too, preventing Hill from burning them deep as he did in the previous outing.
