Long-time celebrity activist Susan Sarandon is warning President Biden and the Democratic Party that political doom is on the horizon if they pull a stimulus “bait and switch” on voters.

“Where are the $2K checks you promised @JoeBiden @KamalaHarris @ReverendWarnock  @ossoff?” she tweeted Thursday. “At a time when only 39% of Americans could afford a $1,000 emergency & over 15 million have lost employer-sponsored health insurance, the diff between $1,400 & $2K is a matter of survival. If voters feel like Dems are pulling a bait and switch, don’t be surprised when they don’t show up in 2022 or 2024.”

The liberal activist’s tweet includes a montage of Democrats promising a prompt mailing of $2,000 checks if the party was propelled to control of the White House and Senate.

Mr. Biden’s goal of passing a $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package did make progress on Friday after the House passed the Senate-amended budget resolution in a 219-209 vote.

Democrats have indicated a willingness to use procedural maneuvers in the Senate to sidestep Republican objections in the weeks ahead.

“I’d like to be doing it with the support of Republicans,” Mr. Biden said. “They’re just not willing to go as far as I think we have to go.”

Ms. Sarandon was blamed for contributing to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential election defeat by left-wing activists.

The Academy Award-winning actress warned pundits of the former secretary of state’s vulnerabilities on various issues and was hounded online after her loss.

“To all those who find blaming me less painful than introspection, never knew I was this powerful,” she tweeted in November 2016 while providing a list of Hollywood power players who supported Mrs. Clinton.
