On Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Equality Act by a vote of 224-206.

Proponents of the legislation, such as Rep. David Cicilline, Rhode Island Democrat, declared, “Every American deserves respect and dignity and [this is why it’s] important that the Equality Act become law …”

But here’s the thing: He’s lying. And so is every single Democrat who aligns with him and parrots this deceptive blather.

The fact of the matter is the Equality Act, like all other Orwellian doublespeak pouring forth from the mouths of our Beltway-betters, does precisely the opposite of what it portends.

In reality, there is no equality in the Equality Act, and the “dignity and respect” that Mr. Cicilline claims “everyone deserves” is about to become a distant memory for at least 160 million Americans, who, with the stroke of Uncle Joe’s pen, are about to be told to go sit at the back of today’s rainbow-colored bus.

Who are these 160 million? Women. All of our nation’s actual females.

Aside from the obvious arrogance of political elites like Mr. Cicilline, who shamelessly push their nihilistic values on all the Americans they so smugly claim to “respect,” there’s something even more disturbing here: Their palpable disregard for women.

Champions of the Equality Act are misogynists who deny that women are even real. They are pretenders who march to the feminist drum while denying the ontological fact of the female.

They are deceivers. They are liars. They are peddlers of progressive snake oil.

At their hands, women are not winning. They are losing — losing their bathrooms, losing their showers, losing their sports and losing their scholarships. Because of Democrat deception, women are losing their dignity and even losing their identity.

Please just stop for a moment. Take a deep breath, and think.

If these people genuinely support women, then why do they tell women they are little more than leprechauns and unicorns — make-believe social constructs — rather than biological facts?

If they actually believe in women’s rights, then why do they refuse to protect a woman’s most basic rights?

If these progressive exemplars honestly think it’s wrong for a man ever to force himself on a woman, then how is it ever right for them to force a woman to give up her rights to a man?

What could possibly be more degrading to America’s female citizens than to have their government publicly support the “blackfacing” of women in a manner that is just as cartoonish, grotesque and insulting as it is when White people dress up in literal blackface to mimic and mock people of color?

Do you see the disconnect? As rational beings, we are smarter than this. But our national brain trust seems to be brain-dead. We will never be a people of common sense if we persist in doubling down on this nonsense.

If Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer truly believe in the dignity of women, then they should stop promoting the cultural appropriation by men of an identity they have no right to assume.

If the Democratic cabal really believes in equal rights for the female, then they should stop pretending a woman is a fantasy and a fabrication rather than a biological fact.

If our Congress is so serious about gender inclusion, then maybe it should stop excluding females who believe in the objective integrity of gender.

If 224 House members want us to believe they are pro-science, then maybe they should prove it and stop denying science.

In his book “Abolition of Man,” C.S. Lewis warned of a time when we would become a characterless culture of “men without chests.” But even the prophetic foresight of the Oxford don fell short on this score. Even Lewis didn’t foresee the next domino to fall — that we would become a culture of “women without breasts,” so proud that we have abolished man that we now proudly celebrate the abolition of women.

This past Thursday, Rep. Vicky Hartzler, Missouri Republican, said the following: “This is only the tip of the iceberg … The Equality Act enshrines inequality for women … into federal law. This is an imminent threat to the common good … that I work every day to preserve as a representative of the people of Missouri. Members from both sides of the aisle — especially those who claim to be pro-woman … need to stop this devastating legislation. The future of women’s rights … depends on it.”

Proponents of the Equality Act, like Mr. Cicilline, are lying when they tell you they believe in the dignity of all Americans. They are lying when they claim to be pro-women. Their hashtags about equality and fairness and MeToo mean nothing.

Mrs. Hartzler, on the other hand, is telling you the truth. Ignore her at your peril.
