CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for manufacturing child pornography, U.S. Attorney Scott Murray said Friday.

Chad Francisco, of Nashua, was ordered to prison Friday by a federal judge in Concord. The 32-year-old had pleaded guilty in November.

Responding to a tip from the Nashua Police Department, federal investigators obtained a search warrant for Francisco’s cell phone and found visual depictions of sexually explicit conduct involving two children under the age of 10 years old, according to Murray’s office.

The investigation found that Francisco created the depictions using his cell phone and distributed them to others via text message.

A message seeking comment was left with Francisco’s attorney.

Murray said his office will continue to identify and prosecute those who prey on children.

“Protecting the children of New Hampshire is one of the highest priorities of our law enforcement community,” he said in a statement. “This defendant’s sexual exploitation of young children was reprehensible conduct that merited this very substantial prison sentence.”

The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, a branch of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, with help from the Nashua Police Department.
